Jonny Cash- Hurt lyrics

I hurt myself today,
To see if I still feel,
I focus on the pain,
The only thing that’s real,

The needle tears a hole,
The old familiar sting,
Try to kill it all away,
But I remember everything,

What have I become,
My sweetest friend,
Everyone I know,
Goes away in the end,

And you could have it all,
My empire of dirt,
I will let you down,
I will make you hurt,

I wear this crown of thorns,
Upon my liars chair,
Full of broken thoughts,
I cannot repair,

Beneath the stains of time,
The feelings disappear,
You are someone else,
I am still right here,

And you could have it all,
My empire of dirt,
I will let you down,
I will make you hurt,

If I could start again,
A million miles away,
I will keep myself,
I would find a way.

Florida man dies after winning cockroach-eating contest

According to (CNN) — A 32-year-old man downed dozens of roaches and worms to win a python at a Florida reptile store, then collapsed and died outside minutes later. Edward Archbold was among 20 to 30 contestants participating in Friday night’s “Midnight Madness” event at Ben Siegel Reptiles in Deerfield Beach, authorities said. The participants’ goal: consume as many insects and worms as they could to take home a $850 python.
All I have to say is, Darwin Natural Selection Award winner.

The Intrigue of Unanswerable Questions

Recently, as part of a home project, I bought a small oak picture frame from the local Goodwill Store, and it was used to frame a card with a Bible Passage:

The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving towards all he has made. (Psalms 145:13)

That is not the interesting part. On the back, in faded writing, someone had written, “Mrs. Brenda, We love you. Ron and an unreadable second name. This started me thinking about those simple messages we leave behind. Where is Mrs. Brenda now? Where is Ron? Are they still alive?

It’s interesting how someone’s long forgotten gift wound up in my hands. All I wanted was a frame for a post card…what I got was a list intriguing but forever unanswerable questions.
